Adopt a Home for the Holidays

As the weather gets cooler, and people are living inside their homes more, Habitat becomes busier. During these cooler months, Habitat for Humanity of Livingston County begins to see more and more need for assistance from families with children discovering leaky roofs, senior citizens in need of a furnace, and individuals that have been making do with an unsafe home.

Since October of 2022 Habitat has replaced one furnace and has requests for 4 more. In 2021 we replaced only 6 all season long. This is just one of the many requests for repairs that have more than doubled from last year, in just 3 short months.

This holiday season we are asking for assistance with these home repairs through our Adopt a Home for the Holidays Campaign. As an adoptee, you will receive updates on the project you have adopted including pictures and the opportunity to be on-site volunteering if the project requires the help of volunteers. As an adoptee, you will receive information on your family and how your help changed their lives.
